Somalia, March 23: Unidentified gunmen kill eight civilians in Middle Shabelle region which borders Somali capital Mogadishu, wounding at least 14 people.
The militias opened heavy gun fire on a crowd of people in a small district neighboring Mahadaay in Middle Shabelle where armed clans are involved in looting civilians and other clans.
The attack left more than eight people dead and another 14 seriously injured, Press TV report said.
Locals in Mahadaay say relentless hostility, looting and killing has become a daily routine in the district.
More lives are being lost in the outskirt of Somalia's troubled capital despite a bid by elders to put an end on violence and revenge killings in the area. |
