Eight Somali soldiers gunned down by Al Shabaab |

Somalia: At least eight Somali soldiers have been killed in fresh clashes with members of the armed opposition group al-Shabaab, witnesses say Sunday.
During the battle, al-Shabaab fighters killed eight Somali soldiers and seized three military vehicles as well as a significant amount of weapons from the government soldiers.
In another development, in a raid on the house of the Former Foreign Secretary of the Union of Islamic Courts, Sheikh Ibrahim Addow, Somali soldiers gained access to some documents and an arms cache there, Press TV report said.
Meanwhile, embattled Somali President, Abdullahi Yusuf, returned home from a visit of several countries as well as the UN Headquarters in New York, over the past week. |
