Beaches in Zambia

Zambia is described as the real Africa and it is easy to see why. The country is famed for its huge protected wilderness areas. It has many lakes with beaches, ideal for those who wish to swim, sunbathe and enjoy water sports in uncrowded surroundings. It is also criss crossed by numerous rivers providing the opportunity for canoeing, rafting, and fishing in unspoilt wilderness areas. There are three principal beach resorts on the Lake Tanganyika -Kasaba, Nkamba and Ndole Bays. The beaches are great places to get a sun tan as the sun shines for more than eight hours a day on average and the fresh waters are a delight to swim in. Bathers will find they are accompanied by wildlife guards as these resort areas are situated within the Nsumbu National Park, which is home to numerous elephant, hippo, lion, leopard, various types of antelope, buffalo and warthog.
