Natural Features: Togo consists of six geographical regions. The coastal region, the Ouatchi plateau, a higher tableland, which is drained by the Mono River. From there the land rises towards the mountains of the Chaine du Togo, which extends across the country from northwest to northeast. Pic Baumann is the highest point in Togo, To the north is the Oti River Sandstone Plateau. Tropical ferruginous soil of little fertility cover more than half of the country.
Accommodation: Only Lome and Lama-Kara have international-class accommodation but there are hotels in all the main towns
Post and Communications:The service is good for local and international communications, at least from Lome.

Getting There:

Air: The main airline running services to Togo is Air Afrique (RK), in which Togo is a shareholder. Togo has become an important transit point for air travel in Africa. There are frequent flights to major African destinations
Road: There are routes from Benin, Ghana and Burkina Faso
Sea: Ferries from Benin and Ghana call at Lome and other coastal ports

Best Time To Visit: April and September.

Driving: Intenation Driving permit required.
