Somalia, Apr 9: A Burundian member of the African Union peacekeeping force in Somalia died Wednesday of injuries sustained in a suicide attack, a military spokesman said.
"We are sorry to announce that the soldier wounded in the suicide attack on Tuesday died of his wounds," said Captain Clement Cinene, spokesman for the Burundian contingent in Mogadishu.
Cinene told reporters of news agencies another soldier was also wounded in the attack, agency report said.
A suicide car bomber smashed into an AU position housing Burundian peacekeepers in the war-torn capital Tuesday, killing one civilian and wounding at least nine people.
