At least 10 people have been killed and 25 other wounded fighting between Somali government backed by African Union Troops at the main Bakara Market in Somali Capital Mogadishu, Radio Garowe Reports.

"I saw at least 6 dead bodies after mortars erupted in the busy market of Bakara, dozen others injured were taken to the Hospital," told a witness Garowe Online.

Witness said that heavy mortar landed in that market which causes 'interruption of the ongoing businesses'. Hizbul-islam claimed victory over the fighting.

The fighting also erupt northern Mogadishu district of Hodan and Howlwadaag.

"Our troops were behind the attacks, we succeed our victory, said Hizbul-islam Spokesman, Sheikh Mohamed Abdi Aros.

The spokesman refused to comment about the dead bodies while also no remarks from government office.

"We collected many wounded people and we still collected many others who caught off-guards by mortars, people died but we can't tell exactly how many collapse," said Ali Muse, the head of Mogadishu's Ambulance Service.
